Dog Boarding Kennels & Routine
We have both heated indoor and covered outdoor units available; the latter takes advantage of the afternoon sun. During the winter months (Easter to Labour weekends), all dogs sleep inside the heated ( 21ºC) indoor units overnight. In the summer we also utilise our covered indoor kennels which take advantage of the afternoon sun. All dogs are out of their sleeping space in groups between 8am & 10am to enable full clean and drying of kennel area. They will all get 2 more active play and social time until 4pm. From this time its back in their kennel in time for their evening meal. Lights out at 6pm with a final check-in from the on-site live-in manager.
Extra Room
If your furry family member requires more room, we have double units, which can also be used for two or more dogs from the same family.
Nutrition
We have partnered with Royal Canin for your loved one’s nutrients and treats. We’re also able to accommodate any particular dietary routines, so please let us know when you book.
Medication
For a surcharge of $5 we will administer pet medications. We have a trained animal health professional who can administer general medications. If medications are required outside office hours please expect to pay $10.
Dog Boarding Vaccination Requirements
All dogs staying at BARK Boarding need to be fully vaccinated against Parvovirus, Hepatitis and Distemper PLUS Kennel Cough – comprised of both Parainfluenza and Bordetella bronchiseptica components.
Kennel Cough is a vaccination we require your dog to have yearly.
Parvovirus is required every year until the dog turns 2 years of age and then will be required every 3 years.
Please be advised, that whilst we do send a reminder the day before your animal is due to board with us if our records show their vaccinations to be out of date, it is your responsibility to ensure their vaccinations are up to date prior to their arrival.
